Industrialization is a period in time in which economic and social changes lead a pre-industrial agrarian society into an industrial one. During this period, both economic and social changes are paired with technological innovation, leading to a massive manufacturing growth, where the economy itself, is organizing for the purpose of manufacturing.
Industrialization also caused an increase in urbanization. Social, political, and economic changes were caused by rapid increase in industrialization and urbanization that took place in the United State. The United States had industrialized and urbanized rapidly between 1890 and 1920, which caused many social changes in society.

American Industrialization was characterized by inventions such as railroads, and automobiles, and wide-ranging industrial processes. It took place between 1865 and 1920 when America experienced an extreme makeover in nearly all aspects of life. During this period, predominantly agrarian and rural societies in America became urban and industrial. In many ways, industrialization improved.

Industrialization after the Civil War When the Civil War was over, the United States was changed into a more industrialized nation due to industrialization that was being created. The three broad aspects of development I feel that influenced the US between 1865 and 1920 are the economy, politics, and society.
